Gas Phase Sulfur Adsorption Beds
The presence of sulfur in a gas stream in the form of hydrogen sulfide is well known to poison hydrogen separation membranes as well as many fuel cell stacks; Precision Combustion Inc. has developed sulfur adsorber prototypes that can reduce the quantity of H2S in a gas stream to less than 1 PPM, depending on the quantity of sulfur in the fuel stream, beds can be manufactured to last from 100's of hours through many thousands of hours without requiring regeneration or replacement. The unit shown to the right is a sulfur adsorption bed for high pressure/high flow applications.
