PCI has been named to the 2010 Marcum Tech Top 40
PCI has been named to the 2010 Marcum Tech Top 40, as one of the 40 fastest growing technology companies headquartered in Connecticut, measured by revenue growth from 2006 to 2009. PCI was identified in the Energy/Environmental (Green Technology) field, in a subgroup of four winning companies.
This year the Tech Top 40 includes 13 publicly-held firms and 27 private firms. PCI is developing advanced catalytic reactors for energy sector applications. The company’s growth in the award period has been supported by increasing business across multiple business areas, including fuel processing, compact burners, and new technologies. Despite the downturn in the economy, revenue growth extended into 2009, when the company added ten new employees, and has continued in 2010. "We’re finding our growth is driven by multiple green technology applications for our products, and by both existing and new customers," said President Kevin Burns. "Our team is working very well to take advantage of our opportunities, and to satisfy our customers. I'm grateful that the team is being recognized by this award for the growth results of that work."
The Marcum Tech Top 40 awards are provided by the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP. 2010 will be the third time the awards have been made. Six technology categories are recognized: Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, New Media/Internet/Telecom and Energy/Environmental Technologies.
There will be an awards ceremony October 28 at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford. In addition, six category winners will be announced as well as the company with the greatest percentage growth in revenue across all the technology verticals. CTC and Discover Video will stream a webcast of the awards ceremony.
